November 25, 2022A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed on Thursday, October 13th, 2022 between the Cyprus Network “Justice for All” and the University of Cyprus.
The Memorandum was signed by the Rector of the University of Cyprus, Mr. Tasos Christofides and Mrs. Alexia Kountouri, one of the directors of the Cyprus Network “Justice for All”.
Based on the provisions of this cooperation, third- and fourth-year undergraduate law students of the University of Cyprus will have the opportunity to volunteer at the service centres, which will operate in the Multifunctional Municipality Centres, within the framework of the programme ‘‘Justice for All’’.
The students who will participate in the specific programme will have the opportunity to interact with the case handling procedures, which fall under the criteria of the above programme.
A parallel goal of the cooperation is to strengthen the voluntary consciousness, to cultivate a culture among future lawyers for the offer of pro bono services and to encourage the active action of young people in a specialized thematic field, the equal access of our fellow human beings to justice, which is a key objective of the programme ‘‘Justice for All’’.
